After threatening them with eviction, Daniel from Washington DC bought out the tenants of 532-34 Shotwell Street.  According to neighbors, one family had resided in their home on Shotwell for many years.  

After renovating the building, he now offers two units on AirBnb

Daniel recently changed his listing to offer 30 day rentals in order to skirt the short term rental law.

Leffler never asked for conditional use permits for the vacation rental activity nor does he file fees with the Rent Board if he believes he is now a landlord.  The small apartments list for $7500 and $8480 per month, prices that would only be possible in a City that has allowed its housing stock to be taken from residents and offered to visitors at hotel rates.
